Professor Seon Joo Kim Receives Presidential Commendation Professor Seon Joo Kim of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering was awarded the Presidential Commendation at the Information and Communication Day ceremony held on April 22, 2024, for his contributions to technological advancement through the establishment of roadmaps for the four key technologies in the field of artificial intelligence and pioneering research in artificial intelligence. He was honored as the Chairperson of the National Strategic Technology Artificial Intelligence Technology Adjustment Committee.

Professor Sung-Bae Cho of the Department of Computer Science and Engeneering has been appointed as the R&D Division Chief of the Ministry of Science and ICT's AI Strategy High-Level Threat Council. As a member of the 'AI Strategy High-Level Threat Council', which aims to establish an AI ecosystem that will serve as a global model and propel the leap of AI superpowers following the US and China, he will participate in various policy decisions related to national AI R&D in the future.
