Professor Kim Tae-wook's research team at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering conducted a study on Wireless IR-UWB transceivers capable of Gbps, ultra-low power, and short-range communication using E-MPPM, a newly proposed modulation technique. And this study was published and approved in the IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits (JSSC), a famous journal in the field of semiconductor design. This study showed the best energy efficiency in IR-UWB communication research.

This study was led by Professor Tae-Wook Kim (corresponding author) and Geun-Haeng Lee (first author) of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with the participation of Jun-Young Jang (second author) of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Professor Ji-Hoon Kim of Ewha Womans University.
