초록:

Euclid, led by the European Space Agency, is a survey mission to understand the origin of the Universe's accelerating expansion. Euclid will map (both visible and invisible) large-scale structures with visible and near-infrared imaging and spectroscopy surveys. The survey covers over one-third of the sky, more than one billion galaxies out to z > 2 in six years. Based on the survey data, Euclid will constrain the properties of dark energy, dark matter, and gravity with high precision via weak gravitational lensing and galaxy clustering. Among the 17 European countries involving the Euclid mission, the UK leads the Euclid lensing survey shear measurement and point spread function (PSF) modelling, which are the critical parts of weak lensing analysis. In this talk, I will introduce the mission's scientific goals, instruments, orbits, and survey plans. Also, I briefly explain my work in Oxford, testing the PSF modelling algorithm and probing the PSF model systematics.
