- [IGEE] The Inauguration of GEEF
- IGEE(Institute for Global Engagement & Empowerment) has held the first GEEF(Global Engagement & Empowerment Forum on Sustainable Development) on February 7 to 8. This forum is mainly composed of 3 parts : Plenary Session(3), Parallel Session(9), and special conversation performed by Ban Ki-Moon and Jack Ma, Chairman of Alibaba. The main participants was António Guterres UN Secretary General, Lee Nak Yeon prime minister, Jack Ma chairman of Alibaba, Chey Tae-Won SK chairman, Miroslav Lajcak President of the United Nations General Assembly, Heinz Fischer former president of Austria, Irina Bokova former director general of UNESCO, and Jeffrey Sachs professor of Columbia University. In GEEF, worldwide leaders, businessman, experts concerned about problems on Earth such as climate change, health, education, business ethics and discussed the way to solve those problems.

- IGEE(Institute for Global Engagement &Empowerment) and Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens signed up MOU to achieve Sustainable Development Goal(SDG) on Febraury 7 at Severance hospital 20th floor sky lounge. From now on two centers will do various movements related to achieve SDG such as joint research, human andmaterial resource cooperation. *Ban Ki-moon Center for Global Citizens was established for global society’s peace and SDG aimed at global citizenship education and second-class citizen’s extension of rights and development of ability. - The non-profit organization Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens, named after Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, was officially launched in Vienna, Austria on January 3 (KST). The Centre is affiliated to IGEE at Yonsei University and will open another affiliated office in the Middle East.
