Development of highly flexible and porous silk fibroin microneedle wraps 

for cardiovascular diseases

Professor WonHyoung Ryu's research group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering developed a silk fibroin microneedle wrap for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases through joint research with Professor Young-Nam Youn's research group in the Division of Cardiovascular Surgery, Severance Cardiovascular Hospital. Recognized for its excellence in efficacy and stability, this study was published in the 'Journal of Controlled Release (IF = 9.776, top 3.45% of Pharmacology & Pharmacy)', and was selected as the Front Cover of Vol.340 in 2021.
