(Dr. Stefan Partel )This presentation will give a short overview of the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences, which offers very different branches of education. Subsequently, the Research Centre for Microtechnology will be presented in more detail and the main research areas (four different areas) will be explained. The manufacturing processes will be explained on the basis of different projects, thus giving an insight into the research of Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences. The main topic will be the manufacturing processes for a successful implementation of electrochemical based biosensors.

(Dr. Volha Matylitskaya )In this presentation we will talk about the electrochemical biosensors. We will focus on the architecture and application of biosensors. What the biosensor consists of and what electrochemical methods are used to detect biosamples will be discussed. We will also clarify how the transducer detects a chemical event occurring on its surface and which samples can be detected. Finally, some projects of our research group based on electrochemical methods are presented.
