- Prof. Seo has received ‘Biochip Young Talent award’ at 2019 the Korean Biochip Journal conference. The award is given for his academic contribution to biochip field, and the development of the Korean Biochip Journal. Prof. Seo’s group (Kijun Park) has awarded 4th prize in Mock Investment Competition at 2019 the Korean Biochip Journal Conference presenting ‘Implantable Medical Device Coating for Restraining Infection and Immune Rejection Response’.

- Prof. Seong-Ook Jung’s Research Team Accepted in IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits
- Prof. Seong-Ook Jung’s self-timed pulsed latch technique was accepted in IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits (JSSC), the most renowned journal in circuit and system field. The proposed latch reduces the hold time by 77% and minimum VDD by 300 mV for stable operation in low VDD region, which can further accelerates the VDD scaling. This research was made by doctor Hanwool Jeong and professor Seong-Ook Jung of VLSI system laboratory.

- Prof. Seo's group grants Young researcher program, research program supported by NRF
- The study of "Smart mltifunctional othopedic implant coating with anti-inflammatory and anti-biofouling property" by Prof. Seo's group (BLISS) grants Young researcher program subsequent research of National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF). The project is about development of orthopedic implants inhibiting side-effects from bacterial infection, and foreign body responses using smart nano-lubricant coating technology. BLISS receives a 300 million won grant for 3 years of project.

Yu, Hwang, and Kang receive a KR \2 Billion (~US$1.8M) grant from Samsung Research Funding & Incubation Center for Future Technology for their research titled, “Epidermal Skin-attachment-type Ultrasensitive Strain Sensor Array and Deep-Learning-based Strain-to-Word Conversion Algorithm for Silent Communication.” The research team will develop novel transparent epidermal strain sensor arrays and deep-learning-based data processing algorithms for silent communication.
