Prof. Dosik Hwang's team has won the 1st place at a medical artificial intelligence contest called HeLP (Healthcare AI Learning Platform) challenge hosted by Asan Medical Center (AMC) with Ministry of Health and Welfare. They have developed a deep learning-based brain tumor segmentation algorithm that segments glioblastoma accurately. They also awarded 9 million won in prize money.

This contest, which has been held for 5 months with the participation of 40 teams, is a part of the 'Healthcare AI Learning Platform Project' of the Ministry of Health and Welfare. In addition to 'Brain Tumor MRI segmentation', 'Cardiac segmentation', 'Stroke onset time classification', and 'Breast cancer classification on frozen pathology' were also covered.
