세미나 제목 : Surface Dynamics on Graphene sheet

발표초록 : 

Gas-solid surface dynamics is one of the most important chemical reactions including all kinds of catalytic reaction, energy engineering, and environmental science. Among several surfaces, the graphene surface has unique attraction due to low atomic mass unit (amu = 12), strong covalent bondin in sp2 orbital, and specific charge characteristics on surface such as zero band-gap, high charge mobility, and controllable charge density by Fermi level adjusting.  This talk will be composed as in below; a) preparation of high quality graphene sheet for gas-surface dynamics using peeled-off Cu (111) foil, b) fabrication of free-standing graphene and polymer dynamics using specially designed low energy electron diffraction (LEED) system, c) Helium gas scattering from graphene/Cu surface for the phonon behavior study, and d) future plan for di-atomic gas molecule scattering experiment on graphene surfaces.
