Abstract:

Cosmology has advanced tremendously in recent years, transforming from a speculative field to a precision science,

as a result of a wealth of data from sensitive instruments. Among these, observations of the cosmic microwave background (CMB)

have played a crucial role in revolutionizing our understanding of the Universe. Despite the success of the standard model of
cosmology (ΛCDM), many fundamental questions remain unanswered, such as the existence of primordial gravitational waves
or new light relic particles, and how to resolve current cosmological tensions.

I will discuss how improved mapping of the microwave sky can help address these questions. I will present recent results from the

Atacama Cosmology Telescope (ACT) and describe how the new ACT maps will advance our understanding of the Universe beyond
the Planck satellite. I will also highlight recent progress on CCAT and Simons Observatory that are paving the way for CMB-S4
in pursuit of next generation cosmology.
