Hematopoietic and vascular development, regeneration, and disease - Washington University School of Medicine

Postdoctoral and Staff scientist positions are available to study the following areas.

1)Hematopoietic and vascular development and regeneration. 2) Hematopoietic stem cell fate in chronic inflammation. 3) The crosstalk between tumor angiogenesis and tumor immunity. We utilize an in vitro differentiation model of embryonic stem (ES) cells and early mouse embryos to address self-renewal, lineage commitment, and differentiation of the hematopoietic and vascular systems. We also utilize various tumor models to study changes occurring in hematopoietic stem cells and the crosstalk between endothelial cells and tumor immunity. We hope to apply the findings to regenerative medicine and therapeutic interventions for hematopoietic and vascular diseases.
