연세대학교 전기전자공학부 김동구교수는 

12월 8일에 IEEE Communication Society Award for Public Service in the Field of Telecommunications 을 수상하였다.  

시상식은 같은날 IEEE Global Communication Conference, Taipei Taiwan에서 비대면으로 진행이 되었다. 

본상은  IEEE Communication Society (ComSoc)에서 1970년 부터 교육, 연구, 산업, 공공을 위한 통신, 4가기 분야에서 뛰어난 리더쉽과  업적을 이룬 이들에게 수여를 하고 있다. 

김동구교수는 “For the leadership and contributions to the public-private service for the world’s first 5G commercialization” 으로, 세계최조 5G 상용화에 창의적인 민관협력 체계 구축을 인정받아서 본상을 수상을 하였다.
