Yonsei University Human Right Center was established to protect and enhance the human rights of all members of the Yonsei University community and to realize their dignity and value as human beings.

Human rights, as guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Korea and recognized by international human rights treaties and customary international law to which the Republic of Korea is a party, are the sum total of specific rights derived from the roots of human dignity and are based on values such as life, liberty, equality, and solidarity.

The Human Rights Center aims to establish and enhance a culture of human rights and welfare at Yonsei University by preventing and resolving all issues of violence, discrimination, and inequality that may arise among Yonsei University members. To achieve this goal, the Center focuses on consultation and handling human rights issues arising at Yonsei University, research and development of human rights policies, and human rights education and promotion activities.

Yonsei Human Rights Center works closely with other human rights, ethics, and welfare-related organizations under the Ethics and Human Rights Committee, such as the Ethics Center, Gender Equality Center(Center for Gender Equity), Counseling Center, and Disability Service Center(Able Center), to promote human rights policies and culture at a higher level in an integrated manner.

We hope our school becomes a warmer, happier, and more just community, and the Human Rights Center will play its part in this endeavor. We look forward to your support and participation.

Thank you.
