2020-2 GBED Need-Based Scholarship Application

(글로벌기초교육학부 자유장학금 지급대상자 선발 공고)


* Due to COVID-19, GBED Need-Based Scholarship application process for this semester

will be conducted online. Please refer to below information for the details.


1. Eligibility


 A. Students who are currently attending 1st or 2nd semester of Global Basic Education Division

 B. Online interview with academic advisor is required

 C. Minimum of 12 credits, GPA 2.5 or higher in 2020 Fall Semester


2. Application Procedure


 

 A. Online Interview with Academic Advisor (Prerequisites)

1) Period: 10/19/2020 (Mon.) – 11/20/2020 (Fri.)
2) How to apply for interview: contact your academic advisor individually
3) Please prepare the documents as much as possible, and send them to your academic advisor via email before the interview.


 B. Submission of Documents

1) Period: 11/2/2020 (Mon.) – 11/27/2020 (Fri.)
2) Online Application: Copies of all the documents should be submitted via e-mail within the period.

- E-mail Address: gbed@yonsei.ac.kr (You must receive a reply within 2~3 days after submitting the email to complete the application)

- Format: Attach a single combined PDF of documents (*All the documents should be combined into ONE PDF file including application form)

a) Fill out or sign on the printed forms, and scan them into one PDF file
b) or type directly in the forms online, insert electronic signatures, and convert to one PDF file

3) After the application, original documents should be submitted by mail before 12/31/2020

- Mailing Address: Global Leaders College, Room #205, New Millennium Hall, Yonsei University, 50, Yonsei-ro, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea (03722)
- If the copy version is found to be false, your scholarship can be canceled.

4) Required Documents: refer to the “[Form5] Documents List for Need-based Scholarship Applicants

It is recommended for you to state the type of evidence and mark the financial information to be referred to on each evidential document you are submitting (e.g. amount of income or real estate).
- Please make sure to combine all the documents into 
ONE single PDF file in order before attaching in the email.


 C. Result Announcement: 
noticed via personal email registered in the Yonsei portal after 1/29/2021
 D. Scholarship amount: determined within the actual tuition payment amount.
 E. Scholarship payment: will be paid directly to your Korean bank account registered on the Yonsei Portal during February 2021. If your account number is not registered, you may not be able to receive scholarships, so please make sure to register in advance


3. Precautions

 A. If the interview with academic advisor has not been carried out, the application will not be accepted.
 B. When submitting documents written in a language other than Korean or English, the translated version and “[Form4] Consent to Translation Confirmation should be submitted together.
 C. Scholarship may be canceled if the contents of the application or documents are found to be false.
