Student Assistant Recruitment


Job Description

GLC Administrative Office is seeking summer semester assistance from a student with well-developed listening and writing skills for the Student Assistant position in GLC Administrative office. The role of the Student Assistant will be to assist the GLC Administrative Staff in various tasks required to manage the office and provide exemplary customer service to visitors to the GLC Administrative Office.


Work Period: June 24th ~ August 30th


Work Days and Hours

 Monday- Friday 9:00AM-17:00PM (Lunch hour 12:00-13:00)

※Working days and time are negotiable


Scholarship: 8,350 KRW per hour


Location: Sinchon Campus (Room 205, New Millennium Hall), International Campus (Room 501, Libertas A)


Responsibilities

Student Assistant will be trained on and responsible for the following:

- Proper Preparation of the Fall semester orientation

- Communicates information to students through various forms of media

- Ensuring a Clean, Quiet Environment by managing office

- Conducts routine office tasks such as answering phones, typing, and making copies

- Proper opening and/or closing of the Classroom, as appropriate, with the Opening/Closing checklist

- Assistance and registration of new students, emailing and translation where appropriate

- Occasional IT troubleshooting if there is difficulty with equipment (full training and support provided)

- Collects and organizes data

- Other duties as assigned 


Desired Qualifications 

- Exceptional communication skills in Korean and English (spoken, written, reading) or Chinese, Japanese

- Proficiency in and Microsoft EXCEL, WORD and PowerPoint

- Demonstrated interpersonal and customer skills, including written and oral communication

- Possess strong communication and computer skills

- Ability to work as a team

- Flexibility in scheduling



Number of Position:  ○ students for each campus

  a. During the working hours, any other personal activities are not allowed (ex. attending any type of meetings or writing correction meetings, etc.)

  b. If students have bad attitude in the work place, the assistant position could be replaced to someone else
