GBED Global Tutoring Program
Participant Recruitment (Tutee only)
Global Basic Education Division is recruiting the students who wish to participate in the Global tutoring program, please read the following information with caution. The tutor and tutee will be matched based on their time table after the Add & Drop period.
※ What is Global Tutoring?
The Global Tutoring program is student-centered learning program that aims at helping GBED students to adapt to university life in Korea by pairing international students with Korean student tutors. In this Tutoring program, GBED students will receive help in their course work with a tutor who has previously taken the course.
Supporting international students from abroad to better grasp the course materials of a particular course.
※ Tutor and tutee will be comprised of the corresponding major, but it might be matched with a different major tutor based on the number of the applicants
1. Eligibility as a Tutee
GBED students who seek help for the fundamental Korean courses and regular courses.
※Tutee may participate in 2 team at maximum
2. Application Period: by Thursday, September 5th (Midnight) (Submission after the deadline will not be accepted)
3. Application Process
1) Application form
fill in the application form and send it to gbed@yonsei.ac.kr
4. Application Procedure:
Application registration > Announcement of the selected teams > Tutoring proceeded by ICTL (Innovation center for Teaching and Learning) steps during the semester
※Applicants may not be selected if the course applied by the tutor and tutee does not match
5. Tutoring Process
1) Tutoring will proceed in a team unit comprising of a tutor and a tutee for a single subject or the fundamental Korean classes
2) Minimum tutoring hours required per semester: 15 hours or more (one hour per week on average)
3) Required activities: Participation in the Orientation (Monday, September 16th at 15:00 PM in Sinchon campus), interim evaluation, participation in the final presentation, completion of an online activity log
6. Tutoring Activity Benefits
Tutee: Certificate of Tutoring (Requirements: Participation in Orientation and Final Presentation, etc.)
7. Notice
1) You may not withdraw once you are registered for the tutoring program, Please apply after careful consideration.
2) If you withdraw the tutoring program after the orientation, please visit the GLC Administration Office and hand in “Explanatory Statement” for withdrawal.
8. Further Information
1) Tutee must participate in orientation and final presentation. If tutee do not participate in these activities, even though the tutoring session would proceed nonetheless, but the certificate of tutoring will not be issued.
2) An extra orientation will be held for the students who cannot attend the orientation due to inevitable reasons such as classes, living in the international campus, etc. Please note that the tutoring program will be delayed as well.

글로벌인재학부(GBED)에서는 아래와 같이 글로벌 튜터링에 참여할 학생을 모집하오니,
튜티를 희망하는 학생은 세부 사항을 확인한 후 신청서와 증빙서류를 제출하여 주시기 바랍니다.
튜터링은 수강변경기간 종료 후 최종 확정된 수강신청 결과를 토대로 매칭될 예정입니다.
※ 글로벌 튜터링이란?
GBED 학생들 중 대학 수업 및 한국의 대학생활에 도움이 필요한 튜티와,
특정 교과목에 대한 선수 지식을 갖고 있거나
또는 튜티의 대학생활에 도움을 줄 수 있는
한국인 튜터가 팀을 이루어 함께 공부하는 학생 주도의 학습 프로그램입니다.
※ 최대한 동일한 전공의 튜터/튜티로 팀을 구성하지만 신청 현황에 따라
타 전공의 튜터와 함께 학습하는 경우도 있습니다.
1. 튜티 참가 자격
해당 교과목 또는 기초한국어 학습에 도움을 받고자 하는 GBED 학생
※1인당 최대 2개 팀 신청 및 활동 가능
2. 신청기한: 2019. 9. 5.(목) 밤 12:00까지, 신청기간 경과 후 신청 불가
3. 신청방법
가. 신청서
1) 첨부 파일(신청서) 작성 후 gbed@yonsei.ac.kr 로 제출
4. 절차:
[참가희망자] 신청 → 선정팀 발표 → [선정팀] 학기 중 교수학습혁신센터(ICTL)의 운영 절차에 따라 튜터링 진행
※과목 매칭이 이뤄지지 않을 경우 선발되지 않을 수 있음.
5. 활동방법
가. 해당 교과목 튜터링 팀 단위 학습 활동
나. 한 학기 필수 활동시간: 15시간(주당 평균 1시간) 이상
다. 필수 항목: 오리엔테이션(9월 16일(월) 오후 3시, 신촌캠퍼스) 참석,
중간점검 및 기말 발표(일정 추후 공지, 신촌캠퍼스) 참석, 웹 활동일지 작성
6. 특전
튜티: 튜터링 활동 확인서 발급(발급조건: OT 및 기말 발표 참석 등)
7. 유의사항
가. 튜터링 시작 이후 중도 포기 불가하므로 신중하게 신청할 것
나. OT 이후 활동을 중단하는 경우 행정실을 방문하여 취소 사유서 제출
8. 참고사항
가. 튜티는 OT, 기말 발표 참석 대상이고, 만약 참석하지 않을 경우 활동에는 문제 없으나
튜터링활동 확인서는 발급받을 수 없습니다.
나. 국제캠퍼스 거주, 수업 등의 사유로 9월 16일 OT에 참석하지 못하는 학생들에게는
향후 추가 OT의 기회가 주어지므로 나중에라도 반드시 참석하셔야 합니다.
단 OT 참석이 늦어지는 만큼 튜터링의 시작도 늦어지게 됨에 유의하시기 바랍니다.
다. 교양과목도 튜터링 신청 및 활동 가능합니다.
