GLC Writing Center Online Tutoring

1. Preparation for Online Tutoring 

  1) Installation of ZOOM: Download ZOOM

       * Desktop, Laptop: https://zoom.us/download 

       * Mobile: Google Play Store, App Store

  2) If using desktop, it is necessary to have a separate camera and a microphone.

      Therefore, we recommend to use laptop or mobile phone.

2. How to Apply for Online Tutoring

  1) Go to GLC website: https://glc.yonsei.ac.kr/gld_new/index.do

  2) On the bottom right, click '글쓰기 대면지도 신청' (Apply for One-on-One Writing Tutorial)

  3) After login, students need to reserve a session and write down additional information

       Reservation must be made by 17:00 the day before the desired date

  4) Upload the file that needs to be directed

  5) The tutor will send an approval email

3. How to Proceed with Online Tutoring

  1) The tutor will send an invitation email 10 minutes prior to the appointment

  2) Check the email and click on the URL which automatically takes to ZOOM

  3) Click 'Join Meeting' and the online tutoring will start

  4) After the appointment, click 'leave meeting' to end

4. Notice

  1) If the connection is poor, the tutor will call the student directly to inform

  2) It is best to take notes so that the applicant can remember the content of the material

  3) Please participated in the online tutoring class in a quite place
