2020-1 GBED Need-based Scholarship Application

(GBED 자유장학금 지급대상자 선발 공고)

 

* Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the application process for this semester’s GBED Need-Based Scholarship will be conducted online. Please refer to following information for the further details.

 

1. Eligibility

A. Students who are currently attending 1st or 2nd semester of Global Basic Education Division

B. Online interview with academic advisor is required

C. Minimum of 12 credits, GPA 2.5 or higher in 2020 Spring Semester

 

2. Application Procedure

 

A. Interview with Academic Advisor (Prerequisites)

1) Period: May 11th, 2020 (Mon.) – May 29th, 2020 (Fri.)

2) Interview will be conducted online using “Zoom Cloud Meetings”; or other methods depending on the situation. (Please discuss with academic advisor)

3) How to apply for interview: by contacting your academic advisor Prof. Yoo, Seong Eun individually 

4) It is recommended to prepare the documents as much as possible before the interview, and submit them to your academic advisor via email in advance.

 

B. Submission of Documents

1) Period: May 11th, 2020 (Mon.) – June 5th, 2020 (Fri.)

2) Copies of all the documents should be submitted via e-mail within the period.

- Format: PDF or Image files only (Either a or b)

a. Fill out & sign the printed forms, and scan the documents.

b. Enter directly into the file, insert your electronic signature, and convert to a PDF file

- E-mail Title: "Student Number_Name_GBED Scholarship Application" (ex. 2019123100_Hong Gil Dong_Name_GBED Scholarship Application)

3) After the application, original documents should be submitted by offline mail (must be arrived before July 31st, 2020)

- If the copy version is found to be false when compared with the original document, scholarship may be canceled.

4) Required Documents: refer to the “Documents List for Need-based Scholarship Applicants [Form#5]” in the attached application form.

- Please submit the documents all together in the order of the list

 

C. Result Announcement: To be noticed via personal email registered in the Yonsei portal after July 31st, 2020 (Fri.)

 

D. Amount of Scholarship : To be determined within the actual tuition payment amount.

 

E. Scholarship will be paid directly to your bank account registered on the Yonsei portal during August of 2020. Please make sure if your bank account number is registered.

 

3. Precautions

A. Without the interview with academic advisor, your application will not be processed even submission has been made.

B. When submitting documents written in a language other than Korean or English, the translated version and “Consent to Translation Confirmation [Form#4]” should be submitted along with the original document.

C. Scholarship may be canceled or returned if the application process or submitted documents are found to be false.
