2021-1 GBED Need-Based Financial Scholarship Application
<NOTICE>
- Required documents for each scholarship are designated from this semester, so please check the notice before you prepare and submit it. Please note that if the required documents are not submitted, your application will be excluded from the examination.
- Due to COVID-19, Scholarship application process will be conducted online.
1. Eligibility
A. Students who are currently attending 1st or 2nd semester of Global Basic Education Division
B. Online interview with academic advisor is required
C. Minimum of 12 credits, GPA 2.5 or higher in 2021 Spring Semester
2. Application Procedure
A. Online Interview with Academic Advisor (Prerequisites)
1) Period: April/26/2021 (Mon.) – May/21/2021 (Fri.)
2) How to apply for interview: contact individually
B. Document Preparation
* If the required documents are not submitted, your application will be excluded from the examination.

Income Tax Payment Certificate
- 국가 및 지역별 소득 증빙서류 목록 <- Click and download
Submit the certificate designated for each country/region
- In case of engaging in income activities in Korea, submit 근로소득원천징수영수증/소득금액증명원
- In case of freelancer or a one day worker who cannot issue the certificate, submission of payroll statement from January to December 2020 is mandatory
- In case of not earning, submit documents proving no income, such as 소득없음 사실증명원, certificate of tax exemption, certificate of health insurance payment, etc.

C. Application Process
1) Period: May/3/2021 (Mon.) – May/28/2021 (Fri.)
2) Process
Step1. Submit application forms and copies of all the documents via e-mail
- E-mail Address: gbed@yonsei.ac.kr
- Format: PDF only (Combine all the documents into ONE PDF file in order, including application form)
Step2. After the application, submit application forms and original documents by offline mail before June/30/2021
- Mailing Address: [Global Leaders College Scholarship] Room #205, New Millennium Hall, Yonsei University, 50, Yonsei-ro, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea (03722)
D. Result Announcement: noticed via personal email registered in the Yonsei portal at the end of July
E. Payment: paid directly to your Korean bank account registered on the Yonsei Portal during August 2021. Please make sure to register your account number in advance
3. Precautions
A. Only documents submitted within the application period will be received, so please submit them within the deadline.
B. The more supporting documents you can submit the higher your chances of success will be.
C. If the interview with academic advisor has not been carried out, the application will not be accepted.
D. All the documents should be prepared in Korean or English. The documents not in Korean or English must be translated.
E. Scholarship may be canceled if the contents of the application or documents are found to be false.
