Notice on Re-Entry Permit System and Submission of Negative COVID-19 PCR Test Certificate for Re-Entry into South Korea
□ Mandatory Application for Re-Entry Permit [Re-entry is restricted when leaving the ROK without obtaining a re-entry permit]
○ Subject: Registered foreigners (regardless of nationality) seeking re-entry into the ROK after departure from the country as of June 1st, 2020
※ Yet, those falling under a or b are not required to apply for a re-entry permit
ⓐ Those with Diplomats (A-1), Government Officials (A-2), International Agreement (A-3) or Overseas Korean (F-4) status
ⓑThose recognized as refugees holding a valid refugee travel document
○ Application Website: Korean Immigration Office website [hikorea.go.kr]
○ Required Documents
1. Passport
2. Copy of Alien Registration Card
3. Application for Re-entry Permit (Attached #1)
4. Consent for Submission of PCR Certificate before Re-entry (Attached #2)
□ Mandatory Submission of Negative COVID-19 PCR Test Certificate
○ Subject: All foreigners entering the ROK as of 00:00 January 8th(Fri), 2021
○ Mandatory Procedure: Must submit a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate
※ A negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate is deemed valid only when issued within 72 hours prior to departure
○ Failure to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate and/or forging/falsifying documents will result in denial of boarding and entry, and other disadvantages
