Welcome to the Yonsei University Graduate School of Economics homepage. Yonsei Graduate School of Economics was founded in 1998 when Korea was facing the foreign exchange crisis. After 10 years, along with the recovery from the foreign exchange crisis came the 2008 international financial crisis and its effect still persists even after 10 years have passed. Despite the economic downturn during the last 20 years, the Graduate School of Economics has produced over 1,500 graduates. Now, the whole world is facing a new challenge, the fourth industrial revolution. The new challenges of the global economy must be dealt withby expertise equipped with professional knowledge. The key factor to leading change andin responding to changes in the past, present, and future is ultimately humaneducated leaders. In order to meet these demands, our the Graduate School of Economics aims to cultivate creative and challenging global graduatesleaders.

The master's and research program at Yonsei University'sthe Graduate School of Economics provide students with an economic background an opportunity to recharge and deepen their knowledge to students with an economic background, and provide the an opportunity to learn basic economic theories and realities practices to students without any economics background. To this end, we have major fields of Financial Engineering, Insurance, International Business & Industry, Public Policy & Economic Development, and Managerial Economics. As most students work in the industriesy, we strive to maintain a balanced curriculum that links economic practices and with economic theory. Our courses by provided by College of Commerce and Economics Professors who are top-levelbest professors and external instructors who had long-term experiences in the industry and who are fully qualified give lectures in the Graduate School of Economics. We In addition, we are currently developing new courses to respond to changing market conditionss.
