- Ju Young Lee, Tae Soo Kim (first author) and Professor Ki Jun Yu (corresponding author), have successfully developed ultrathin crystalline silicon nano/micro membranes for low-cost flexible electronics and flexible fast, energy-efficient synaptic phototransistors, respectively. This research has been selected as the Cover features for the Small (IF 13.3) and Advanced Electronic Materials (IF 6.2) journals.

- Won Kyung Min (Prof. Kim’s research team) won the Best Paper Award at the AM-FPD '23
- In September, Won Kyung Min (Ph.D. Candidate) from the research team of Prof. Hyun Jae Kim won the Best Paper Award at the 30th INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON ACTIVE-MATRIX FLATPANEL DISPLAYS AND DEVICES (AM-FPD ‘23) for the best oral presentation. The Best Paper Prize was awarded to the researcher for devising a novel technology that introduces a hidden-pixel structure to address the problem of resolution deterioration, which is considered a critical limitation of existing stretchable displays.

- Prof. Kang’s Lab. developed a COVID-19 detection model via patient’s acoustic signals
- Prof. Hong-Goo Kang's research team won the Data challenge: Sensor challenge to diagnose COVID-19 from patient acoustic information held at the IEEE-EMBS International Conference on Biomedical and Health Informatics (BHI 2023), one of the authoritative conferences in the biomedical and health informatics field. The related paper “C2C: Cough to COVID-19 Detection in BHI 2023 Data Challenge” has been accepted. This work was led by Woo-Jin Chung as the first author and Prof. Kang as the corresponding author

- Donggeon Bae, Nakkyu Baek, and Hyesuk Chae from Prof. Seung Ah Lee’s research group won the best paper awards at Optics and Photonics Congress 2023, hosted by the Optical Society of Korea. Each work was supervised by Prof. Seung Ah Lee (corresponding author) and won the best paper award in digital holography and information optics, lithography, and biophotonics division.

- Prof. Ilgu Yun’s lab. published a paper in IEEE Sensors Journal
- Prof. Yun’s Semiconductor Engineering Lab. developed the methodology for Tunneling FET (TFET) based pixel source follower of CMOS Image Sensor for improved linearity and high signal-to-noise ratio compared with the conventional MOS SF and can be applied for the mobile CIS applications. The results were published as a paper in IEEE Sensors Journal (IF = 4.3, JCI percentile = 77.0 %) This study was mainly led by Haewon Lee under the supervision of Prof. Ilgu Yun (School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering)

- Kiho Kim, In Sik Min integrated course students (Professor Ki-jun Yu’s research team) “Fully implantable and battery-free wireless optoelectronic system for modulable cancer therapy and real-time monitoring” was published in npj Flexible Electronics from nature publishing group(Impact Factor : 14.6). This paper presented for the first time, a fully implantable device that enables continuous photodynamic therapy while simultaneously measuring light scattering to monitor tumor size.

- Prof. Seo’s research team (BLISS) reported a novel a doublenetwork (DN) hydrogel to realize a tough, self-healable, nonswellable, conformally tissue-adhesive, hemostatic, and antibacterial hydrogel. This work has been featured as the back cover in Advanced Science (IF=15.1).
