The Semiconductor, Display, and Material field conducts research on nanotechnology, manufacturing process, circuit, and system for next-generation nano-devices and systems. Through Nano Science & Technology, we are developing technologies and materials that can be used in semiconductor and display device applications. We identify electrical and optical phenomena necessary for the construction of nanomaterials and devices. By applying them to the development of nanostructures and semiconductor devices, we are conducting research to achieve the realization of atomic-level quantum effect devices to ultra-integrated semiconductor devices and systems.
NST: Nano Science & Technology
The field of Nano Science & Technology researches various types of nano-materials, nano-devices, and nano-optics, explores their physical phenomena, creates nanostructures with new functionality, and applies them to completely new applications. Researchers in the NST Group are developing new materials and devices with potential applications to electronics, optics, optoelectronics, and biology. In addition, we are developing flexible electronic devices for electronic skin as well as new types of semiconductor devices using organic materials. We are also conducting research related to nanostructure monitoring using photons and next-generation computing.
