- Dr. Hyukjoon Yoo (Prof. Hyun Jae Kim's research team), published paper in Applied Physics Letters
- In October, oxide semiconductor-based visible light phototransistor developed by Dr. Hyukjoon Yoo, a graduate of Professor Hyun Jae Kim's research team, was accepted in Applied Physics Letters (IF 3.971, JCR top 30.75%). This study was conducted to confirm whether a transparent phototransistor can detect visible light by applying a porous PTFE and plasma engineering technology to form a sub-gap state in the IGZO channel layer. (Article title: Enhancement of visible light detection for indium–gallium–zinc oxide-based transparent phototransistor via application of porous-structured polytetrafluoroethylene)

- Ph. D. Candidate Wooyoung Shin’s research has been published in APPLIED ENERGY
- Ph. D. Candidate Wooyoung Shin’s paper, titled “Reserve replacement from governor to energy storage system on conventional generator for operating-cost reduction,” has been published in APPLIED ENERGY (Impact factor 11.446). This paper proposes an operation strategy for participating in generator speed regulation using ESS for the primary frequency response and increasing the turbine efficiency with the reduced throttling loss, thereby saving operating costs. Prof. Jae Woong Shim at Sangmyung University, KOWEPO, and Doosan Enerbility joined this collaborative research project.

- Prof. Jun Han’s CyPhy Lab Paper accepted and presented at ACM UbiComp’22/IMWUT
- Prof. Jun Han’s research lab (CyPhy) published and presented a paper in ACM UbiComp 2022/IMWUT, a top-tier conference in ubiquitous/mobile computing. Under the supervision of Prof. Han, his Ph.D. student, Nitya Lakshmanan (former Ph.D. students at NUS, now Lecturer at NUS) led this project. This paper proposes a novel attack to infer what videos victims are streaming on their phone – from services like Youtube and Netflix – by monitoring the cellular network, hence does not require any malware installed on the victim’s phone.
