- Prof. Seo's group grants Young researcher program, research program supported by NRF
- The study of "Smart mltifunctional othopedic implant coating with anti-inflammatory and anti-biofouling property" by Prof. Seo's group (BLISS) grants Young researcher program subsequent research of National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF). The project is about development of orthopedic implants inhibiting side-effects from bacterial infection, and foreign body responses using smart nano-lubricant coating technology. BLISS receives a 300 million won grant for 3 years of project.

Yu, Hwang, and Kang receive a KR \2 Billion (~US$1.8M) grant from Samsung Research Funding & Incubation Center for Future Technology for their research titled, “Epidermal Skin-attachment-type Ultrasensitive Strain Sensor Array and Deep-Learning-based Strain-to-Word Conversion Algorithm for Silent Communication.” The research team will develop novel transparent epidermal strain sensor arrays and deep-learning-based data processing algorithms for silent communication.

- Prof. Dosik Hwang’s team (M.A.I. Lab.) has won the 1st place in medical A.I. development contest
- Prof. Dosik Hwang's team has won the 1st place at a medical artificial intelligence contest called HeLP (Healthcare AI Learning Platform) challenge hosted by Asan Medical Center (AMC) with Ministry of Health and Welfare. They have developed a deep learning-based brain tumor segmentation algorithm that segments glioblastoma accurately. They also awarded 9 million won in prize money. This contest, which has been held for 5 months with the participation of 40 teams, is a part of the 'Healthcare AI Learning Platform Project' of the Ministry of Health and Welfare. In addition to 'Brain Tumor MRI segmentation', 'Cardiac segmentation', 'Stroke onset time classification', and 'Breast cancer classification on frozen pathology' were also covered.

- Prof. Yu research team published a paper in Nature Biomedical Engineering
- Prof. Yu research team invented the world first large-area MRI compatible electrode arrays for epidermal electrophysiology, deep learning for the detection of acute intracranial haemorrhage, and an inexpensive assay for the classification of cancer patients. Large-area electrode arrays for epidermal electrophysiology offer new possibilities for the control of prosthetic devices and the monitoring of brain functions with high spatio-temporal resolutions. The results were published in world prestigious journal, Nature Biomedical Engineering, and the article is selected as Front Cover Art of the issue.

- The paper of Prof. Kwang Soon Kim’s research team, “Ultrareliable and Low-Latency Communication Techniques for Tactile Internet Services” has been published in the Proceedings of the IEEE (IF 9.1), which proposed novel ultra-reliable low-latency communication techniques for B5G and 6G. This research was carried out by Prof. Kwang Soon Kim (first and corresponding author). And Prof. Dong Ku Kim, Prof. Chan-Byoung Chae, and Ph.D student Jonghyun Kim are participated.
