In Prof. Youngcheol Chae's research team, Dr. Chanmin Park developed a compressive-sensing CMOS image sensor that achieves state-of-the-art energy efficiency and was published in the prestigious IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits (JSSC).
The technology consists of a novel algorithm and a circuit design in a compressive-sensing imager, which are implemented before digitization, but at the output of the sensor. As a results, the developed sensor achieves both high image quality and high energy-efficiency.
