This department was established with the purpose of cultivating advanced technical professionals specialized in the system semiconductor who can actively respond to the demand for system semiconductors through the convergence with various advanced technologies in the field of system semiconductors. To lead the global information technology in the future, it is essential to secure the advanced system semiconductor technologies in the 4th industrial revolution such as the 5th generation (5G) mobile communications, autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence (AI), and blockchain. Therefore, the department of system semiconductor engineering aims to cultivate the top-notch system semiconductor experts by combining the world’s best education and research infrastructure at Yonsei University and the know-how of Samsung Electronics.
