The College of Engineering sets its priority in solving new technical challenges in the areas of energy, health, information technology, biotechnology, built and natural environments, and artificial intelligence (AI). In 2020, the Artificial Intelligence Graduate Program was newly established, aiming to become a key player to support the AI sovereignty and competitiveness of Korea. In 2021, the Department of System Semiconductor welcomed its first students, who will become leading researchers with hands-on experience in the area of semiconductor technology. In 2022, the Department of Integrated Display Engineering was founded to nurture next-generation leaders in the cutting-edge display industry.
In addition, we are devoted to providing exchange opportunities around the world for Yonsei students and welcome students from our international exchange partner institutions. International exchange programs are established with leading partnership schools in the U.S.A, Europe, Australia, and other Asian countries, which enable our students to graduate with a broad global perspective and a competitive edge in state-of-the-art technology.
