- Professor Jung-Wook Park received the Minister Prize of Industrial Technology Award from Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy in recognition of his contribution to national technology development through the development of a new converter control system that incorporates GPS time synchronization technology into the operation of converters for renewable energy sources. Prof. Jung-Wook Park conducted the faithful and creative research on the project of “PMU based multi-microgrid integrated connection and optimal operation” from December 2014 to September 2017.

- Prof. Choi’s research team published a paper in Nature Electronics
- Professor Hyunyong Choi research team and Moon-Ho Jo group (Department of Materials Science and Engineering, POSTECH) have demonstrated the programmable writing of monolithic integrated circuits on a two-dimensional van der Waals semiconductor. They have firstly showed the systematic control of local carrier concentration in MoTe2 governed by precisely tuned laser illumination. This study has received approval sign, and will be published from Nature Electronics in recognition of their influence and potential impacts on semiconductor research.

- ※ Professor Hyun Yong Choi has published a paper on ACS Photonics, an international academic journal, by studying the mechanism of spin alignment, generation, transport, and extinction by light and electric fields inside a three-dimensional phase insulator through ultra fast time resolution photocurrent measurement. ※ The study was led by Professor Choi, Hyun - Yong 's lab, and it is expected to have a great impact on spintronics by measuring the highest record of the charge - to - spin conversion ratio through research.
